This fall’s Detroit Lutheran Singers concert, “All Nature Sings” celebrates God’s hand in all of nature.  From excerpts of Haydn’s “Creation” to Arvo Pärt’s “The Deer’s Cry,” you will be treated to an outstanding collection of hymns and anthems which remind us of the beauty of our world.  You may even decide raking leaves is a thing of beauty. 

This year, we will be going back to our pre-Covid formal dinner and auction! The evening will be full of delicious food, great conversations, and celebration of all the things our community was able to accomplish this year. But don’t worry! For those out of town or unable to make it, we will still have a virtual option! Please use the link in the invitation above to RSVP and indicate which way you will be attending.

Our week for helping/hosting the women and children in the MCREST program starts October 1.  During this week, we provide them with 3 meals a day, bus tickets, gas gift cards, and personal items. We will prepare the meals here at STL and then serve the dinner meal at the MCREST facility in Mt. Clemens. Many hands and funds are needed to accomplish this ministry.  Monetary donations are needed, please mark your envelopes “STL MCREST”. If your interested in helping serve the evening meal, please contact Kelly Crivella.

Faith Connection Experience is a six-hour group conversation on the basics of the Christian faith.  Starting with the question “What does it mean to believe?” the day provides the opportunity to ask questions, listen to the thoughts of others, and re-think where we are in our walk

As AmeriCorps continues their hard work, our Children’s Outreach House gets closer and closer to needing professional work done. This week, we have had incredible community members and local professionals putting in subfloors, preparing for plumbing, and teaching Aspen 1 how to add insulation. But we are still looking for people with the knowledge to teach our volunteers how to finish certain projects! If you know how to do any of the following work and are willing to come for a day or even a few hours to instruct our team, we would be so grateful! Please share this with anyone you know who has these skills! We can be flexible on the days if need be.
