As I write this, the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) is preparing to meet in convention in Lexington, Kentucky, June 24-27. MOST Ministries will have one of the “Mites in Action” speakers, Ruth Martin, sharing the work done with a previous mission grant given by the women of LWML to MOST Ministries. This celebrates a long-standing relationship between the two mission groups.

Eleanor Hildegarde Cardamone (nee Henne), age 80, was called to her heavenly home on the evening of July 12, 2021. She is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Davis, with whom she shared an extraordinarily blessed life. Our 2021 MCREST week will once again be held in our church building and it’s time to start getting ready! As usual we will be responsible for the daily needs of 30 women and children. The MCREST guests have been vaccinated. I will be visiting a church this week to learn new protocols put in place to ensure everyone safety.
Freida Mae Hilsinger, age 80 of Warren, died Friday, July 9, 2021 at the Warren Campus of Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital. She was born July 1, 1941 in Bells Run, Kentucky, daughter of the late Benjamin and the late Hazeltine (nee: Martin) Mattingly.
