The Detroit Lutheran Singers will be presenting “Lord of the Dance”, a 4 concert series for spring. “Lord of the Dance” is an early American Shaker hymn with a text that evokes the life story of Jesus from birth to death to resurrection. These themes are carried throughout the concert repertoire with music selections by classical composers such as Mozart, Faure, Lotti and Haydn and modern composers including Rosephanye Powell, Dan Forrest and Philip Stopford.
