There are two psalms that I regularly use in my morning devotions. The verses I recite almost daily come from David after the prophet Nathan confronted him regarding Bathsheba.

Tuesday was all set to be a trial run for February 21. After a sequence of very busy days, the plan was for me to be home alone with nothing to do – except to relax, recover, and recuperate. In a similar manner, I have been telling people my “plan” is to work very hard until February 19, then rest very seriously for 3 months, and after that see what God has in mind. Tuesday’s “trial run” has probably prepared me for those months even more than I had hoped.
There is just soooo much going on! Yesterday our staff celebrated Christmas with our preschool children and their families at their Christmas party. This was followed by caroling to our community and our granddaughter’s Christmas program. Tonight, a day late, we celebrate our eldest son’s birthday. Friday brings the first snowstorm of the year.
To all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God. From
the fullness of His grace we have all received one blessing after another. For the law was given through Moses;
grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

A few weeks ago, we launched an end-of-year campaign with a goal of raising $65,000, allowing us to move into 2023 well positioned to finish projects and continue forward in our mission to restore vibrancy in the 9th precinct of Detroit.

Our heavenly Father put His hand upon Diane Elaine Carr and called her home on Wednesday, December 14, 2022. She was 81 years of age. Diane was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 25, 1941, daughter of the late Nelson and Dorothy (Walter) Dieball.
