DAY 1 — SUNDAY, JANUARY 18
God Invites Us to Pray
Psalm 50:15
Good morning, Church.
Reflection:
Today we begin our 21 Days of Prayer, and we begin with God’s own invitation.
Listen to Psalm 50, verse 15:
“Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you.”
Notice what God does not say.
He does not say, “Call upon Me when you feel spiritual.”
He does not say, “Call upon Me when you’ve done enough.”
He simply says, “Call upon Me.”
Prayer does not rest on your emotions, your discipline, or your worthiness.
Prayer rests on God’s promise.
And God promises to deliver — a promise fulfilled for us in Jesus Christ, who has already gone to the cross and already stands before the Father for us.
God Himself invites us to pray. Prayer does not rest on our emotions, discipline, or worthiness. It rests on God’s promise to deliver. We pray because God has already committed Himself to hear us.

Reflection Questions:

Where do I hesitate to come to Jesus with weakness?
How does Christ’s promise to deliver me shape my prayers?
How might honest prayer shape my relationships?

Let us pray.
Lord, You invite us to call upon You.
Teach us to trust Your Word, not ourselves.
We pray in the name of Jesus.
Amen.
Go-in peace. God keeps His promises.
